The second round of the 2022 European Mid-Amateur Championships has been completed at Golf du Médoc Resort near Bourdeaux in France.
Two players are tied for the lead after 36 holes of the Men's competition. Sweden's Jonas Wallmo carded his second successive under-par round on Friday, the only male player to do so, reaching -3 for the tournament.
France's Joe Armstrong was one-over heading into the back-nine, but four birdies and no bogeys in the second half of his round propelled him into a tie for the lead on -4.
Nine other players are within just four shots of the lead with 18 holes to play, including France's Chrisophe De Grancey who sits alone in 3rd place on -2.
Charlotte Guilleux leads the way in the Ladies' Championship. The French player, who has previously played the Chateaux course a number of times, carded a two-under-par round of 69 to reach -3 for the tournament. She will take a two-shot lead into the final 18 holes on Saturday.
Two-time champion, Myrte Eikenaar (NED) sits in a tie for second with Ane Urchegui Garcia (SPA), just two shots behind. Defending champion, Maria Anetseder (GER), is in a tie for 5th on +2, five shots shy the leading score.
