The EGA's 2023 Championship Season is set to be an exciting one. An exceptional roster of venues will host Europe's top amateur players this season for 19 events in 16 different countries. A total of 24 European Titles will be awarded during the 2023 season, with five international matches contested.
2023 EGA CHAMPIONSHIP CALENDAR
INTERNATIONAL MATCHES
The Bonallack and Patsy Hankins Trophies return this season after a five-year wait. The contests see Europe's best amateur players take on their equivalents from Asia-Pacific. The three day matches, which mirror the Ryder Cup format, will take place from 3 to 5 August at La Manga Golf Club in Spain.

The biennial Vagliano Trophy also returns to the calendar after being cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic. Eight of the Continent of Europe's best female amateur players will take on GB&I's elite at Royal Dornoch, Scotland on 30 June and 1 July. The Junior Vagliano Trophy, for U16 girls, will take place in parralel.
The annually contested Jacques Léglise Trophy, between the best junior players of the Continent of Europe and GB&I, will be held at Chantilly Golf Club, France. The Continental side, captained by Joachim Fourquet (FRA) will look to secure a first ever fourth-consecutive victory in the match on 25 and 26 August.
EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2023 European Amateur Championship will take place at the stunning Pärnu Bay Golf Links in Estonia from 28 June to 1 July, while the the European Ladies' Amateur Championship will travel north to Tegelberga Golfklubb in Sweden from 26 to 29 July.

The European Mid-Amateur Championships will be the first tournaments of the EGA's 2023 season, taking place from 8 to 10 June at Bogogno Golf Resort in Italy. The European Seniors' Championships will be contested one week later in Ireland at Douglas Golf Club.
Contested every other year, the European Championship for Golfers with Disability will take place at The Dutch Golf Club in the Netherlands. The event, run in conjunction with EDGA, will crown three European champions this year, in the men's, ladies' and seated categories.
EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
The European Team Championship week will take place from 11 to 15 July this year. The men will compete at Royal Waterloo Golf Club in Belgium, the ladies at Tawast Golf & Country Club in Finland, the boys at Geneva Golf Club in Switzerland and the girls at Golf Club d'Hossegor in France.

Countries vying for promotion to Division 1 will also compete in the European Men's and Boys' Division 2 Team Championships at Green Resort Hrubá Borsa, Slovakia the same week.
The European Team Shield Championships will be played for the first time at Costa Navarino in Greece on the new International Olympic Academy course. The event is contested for by emerging golfing nations not competing in the Division 1 or 2 Team Championships.
The European Senior Men's Team Championship will be contested at Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázne, Czech Republic from 5 to 9 September, while the European Senior Ladies' Team Championship will take place on the same week at La Zagaleta, Spain.
The season will close with the European Club Trophies in October, contested for by the champion club of each EGA member federation. The European Ladies' Club Trophy will take place at Pravets Golf Club, Bulgaria, while the men's competition will return to Troia Golf Club in Portugal for a third consecutive year.
