2024 APGC Junior Championship Team Annoucement

Four talented junior players have been selected to represent Europe at the upcoming APGC Junior Championship.

The event, set to be played at The Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club, in the Philippines, unites the top junior players aged 17-and-under from APGC member countries.

The APGC also traditionally invites the EGA to send two mixed teams of one boy and one girl.

Performance in the European Young Masters, where four Asia-Pacific juniors are also typically invited to compete each year, is used to select the EGA teams for the event.

The teams :

EUROPE TEAM 1

Tom De Herrypon (FRA)

Céleste Bobo Lloret (FRA)

EUROPE TEAM 2

Raul Gomez Montalva (ESP)

Anna Ludvova (CZE)

The four players will travel to the Philippines with Myrte Eikenaar (NED), an experienced captain who recently led the Continent of Europe Junior Vagliano Trophy team.

The competition will be played over 54 holes of stroke play from 4 to 6 September. In addition to the team category, which takes the aggregate scores from both players on each team, prizes are also available for the best individual girls and boys.

First opened in October 1992, The Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club will provide the test for some of the world’s best junior players next week. The Club has two Jack Nicklaus designed Signature Golf Courses: The Masters and The Legends. They are the first-ever golf courses in the Philippines to be designed under the Nicklaus name and are spread over 140 hectares of former cane fields located approximately 30 kilometres south of Makati, Metro Manila.
