2024 EGA Championship Schedule Announced

The EGA's 2024 Championship Schedule has been announced.

The 2024 European amateur championship season will see 19 events contested in 17 different countries at a number of outstanding venues across the continent.

The EGA's two flagship individual events will head north next summer. The European Amateur Championship will be played in Denmark at The Scandinavian at the end of June, while the European Ladies' Amateur Championship will be staged at Messilä Golf Club in Finland at the end of July.

Six other European individual titles will be up for grabs next year. The European Mid-Amateur Men's and Ladies' Championships, for golfers aged 25-and-over, will be played in parallel at Jurmala Golf Club in Latvia. The event will be the opening championship of the EGA's 2024 season, to be contested in early June.

The European Senior Championships (50+), will take place in Luxembourg at Kikuoka Country Club. The European Young Masters, for 16-and-unders, will once again be played in Slovakia, at Penati Golf Resort.

Entries for the EGA's 2024 Individual Championships will open in March 2024.

Three international matches will also be amongst the 19 events next year. The matches, jointly run by the EGA and The R&A, will see the Continent of Europe's best go up against Great Britain & Ireland in three different categories. The St Andrews Trophy (men), played every other year, will be staged at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, while the Jacques Léglise (boys) and Junior Vagliano (girls) Trophies will be played at West Lancashire Golf Club in England.

10 European Team events will be contested next year at multiple world-class venues, including the very first European Mid-Amateur Team Championships in September. The new team event for golfers aged 25-and-over will see teams of four players in both the men's and ladies' categories compete for the first European Mid-Amateur Team titles at Golf de Chiberta in France.

The biennial European Team Championship for Golfers with Disability, run in partnership with EDGA, also returns next July at Golf Club Hösel in Germany.

Gams-Werdenberg, host of the 2024 European Team Shield Championships

The 2024 season will also see the Liechtensetin Golf Association (GVL) host its first ever EGA Championship. The GVL will host the European Team Shield Championships, designed for small and emerging golfing nations in Europe, at nearby Gams-Werdenberg in Switzerland.

The season will close with the European Men's and Ladies' Club Trophies, reserved for the national champion clubs of each EGA member federation.
