For the first time this year, the European Golf Association has invited the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) to send players to compete in the European Young Masters at Golf & Spa Kunětická Hora, Czech Republic, from 25 - 27 July.
The APGC recently announced their four players:
Arjun Bhati, India
Arjun Bhati won the Malaysian US Kids Junior Golf Championship twice, and placed fourth in the US edition last year. The 14-year-old, who plays off a handicap of +2, also won the Albatross International and Haryana Junior Championships last year.
Mirabel Ting, Malaysia
Mirabel Ting won the Perak Amateur Open and the Chief Minister Cup in 2018. The +4 handicap player, who is currently ranked in the top-1000 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), also won the Ambank International Junior Championship earlier this year.
Pongsapak Laopakdee, Thailand
Pongsapak Laopakdee was named the Thailand Junior Golf Federation player of the year in 2018 after a season which saw him win the USKG Teen World Championship and the Pondok Indah International Junior Golf Championship. The 14-year-old has been selected as the youngest player on the Thailand men's team this year.
Pranavi Urs, India
Pranavi Urs won the Singha Thailand Junior World Championship and finished third in the Singha Thailand Amateur Open in 2018. The Indian player has appeared in a number of high-profile events, including the Major Champions Invitational, the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship, and the Hero Women's Indian Open, helping her to a WAGR ranking of 778.
The four players will compete for the individual titles against the best young players from across Europe in the three-day stroke play event later this year.
