Sweden topped the stroke play qualifying after two rounds at the Faldo Course Berlin. The top-eight ranked teams following the stroke play rounds advance to the medal contention matches of Flight A, while the other eight teams will compete for final position, and to avoid relegation to Division 2.
The Swedish team finished with a total of 27-under-par, edging above England, who finished with the same score, thanks to a better aggregate of their non-counting scores over the two days.
Denmark will be seeded third for the Flight A match play, finishing on 16-under-par, while the hosts, Germany, will be seeded fourth after posting a 15-under-par total.
Spain and Scotland occupied fifth and sixth position respectively, posting totals of 13-under-par and 11-under-par.
France and Finland claimed the final two spots in Flight A, while Ireland finished ninth, missing out by a single stroke behind Finland on one-under-par.
Gian Marco Petrozzi topped the individual rankings after the two days. The Englishman shot a two-under-par 70 on day two to add to his course-record-tying 62 (-10) on day one.
