Spain topped the stroke play qualifying stage of the European Boys' Team Championship. They put in a dominant performance over the first two days to finish with a total of 16-under-par, 13 shots ahead of second place, and firmly solidified their place as number one seeds heading into the match play stages.
David Puig lead the way for the team. The Spanish player claimed the lowest aggregate individual score with 10-under-par after 36 holes.
Sweden placed second on three-under-par, one shot ahead of England, who finished on two-under-par. They will be seeded second and third respectively for the Flight A matchplay.
Denmark occupied fourth, while Germany occupied fifth, both with totals of six-over-par.
Switzerland and Ireland claimed the sixth and seventh spots respectively with totals of seven-over-par and eight-over-par.
The hosts, the Czech Republic, earned the final spot in the Flight A medal contention matches on a total of 12-over-par.
The remaining eight teams placed 9th-16th will compete in Flight B for final position and to avoid relegation into Division 2 (bottom three teams).
