The EGA, alongside the Finnish Golf Union, is delighted to announce Messilä Golf Club as host of the 2024 European Ladies’ Amateur Championship.
The Finnish golf club, located an hour and a half’s drive from Helsinki, will host its first EGA event next summer. Some of the world’s best female amateur players will compete for the European title from 24 to 27 July next year.
Several EGA events have been held in Finland in recent years, including the European Young Masters in 2021 and 2022. The European Ladies’ Team Championship is also set to be held in Finland in just a few weeks’ time, when Tawast Golf Club sets the stage for Europe’s top golfing nations.
The European Ladies’ Amateur Championship is a 72-hole stroke play event with one of the strongest fields in global amateur golf (according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking). The winner of the event is invited to compete in the AIG Women’s Open of the same year.
