Sebastian Friedrichsen has won the Boys' European Young Masters title at Hauger Golfklubb, Norway. After a brilliant sand-save on the 54th hole by the Danish player, the gold medal would be decided by a 'sudden death' playoff between Friedrichsen and Finland's Sakke Siltala.
The two players were neck and neck all day, with the Danish player holding a narrow advante heading into the final nine holes, although they would both ultimately finish on two-under-par. Overnight leader, Pedro Cruz Silva, dropped three shots in the first two holes and finished the day with a disappointing 82 (+10).
On the first playoff hole, both players found the 10th fairway and had wedge shots left into the green. Siltala putt his shot to 15 feet and left the putt short, while Friedrichsen holed a 10-footer for birdie to claim the title.
In the Girls' event, England's Caitlin Whitehead shot a final round 73 (+1) in windy conditions to finish on a total of three-under-par for a three shot victory. It is the second succesive year England have won the individual Girls' title following Lily-May Humphreys success in 2017.
Whithead looked steady on all three days and was in contention from the start, making just seven bogeys all week on a dry and difficult golf course.
Sweden claimed the Nations Cup, the three lowest scores combined out of four each day, while Spain finished second and Germany finished third.
