The 2011 International European Seniors' Championship at Golf & Landclub Achensee in Austria was a real success Tomas Persson secured another Swedish victory. His Par on the third extra hole was good enough to beat Hans-Günter Reiter from Germany. The defending champion, Mats Andersson, ended in tied 3rd place but had to give up the podium to Knut Skabo from Norway.
In the Ladies' competition, Cecilia Mourgue D'Algue from France is the first super senior to win the ladies title. The series champion, Virginie Burrus was defeated on the last day by her country teammate. Claiming third place on the leaderboard is Catalina Castillejo from Spain .
