Esther Henseleit leads the European Ladies' Amateur Championship after the first of four rounds at Penati Golf Resort, Slovakia.
The German player took advantage of the calm morning conditions to card a blemish-free, eight-under-par round of 64 on the Heritage Course. Henseleit's iron play was the key factor in her low round, hitting all 18 greens in regulation on day one.
Frida Kinhult, who recently won gold with Sweden at the European Ladies' Team Championship in Austria, sits in second place after making seven birdies to sign for a six-under-par 66.
Four players are one shot further back on five-under-par, Italians, Alessia Nobilio and Angelica Moresco, Czech player Sarah Kouskova, and Norway's Dorthea Forbrigd.
