Sweden are currently in second with a total of one-over-par, two shots behind leaders Portugal, while the hosts, Norway, sit in third on two-over-par.
Three players are tied for second in the boys' category on two-under-par, four shots behind Cruz Silva. They are Finland's Sakke Siltala, Lucas Fallotico, Italy, and Danish player, Sebastien Friedrichsen.
In the girls' category, Natalia Guseva from Russia and Ester Fagersten from Sweden are tied for the lead on two-under-par. Caitlin Whitehead, England, and Beth Coulter, Ireland, are tied for third one shot behind.
Nations' Cup defending champions, England, struggled on day one and find themselves 10 shots off the lead in 12th place.
