After the first day of stroke play at Diamond CC was cancelled due to heavy rain, just one round would decide the teams qualifying for the three match play flights.
England topped the leaderboard at the end of the day. Their five best scores, helped by a one-under-par 71 from Trevor Foster, totalled three-over-par, earning the number-one seed in Flight A.
Italy finished four shots further back on seven-over-par while defending champions, Ireland earned the number-three seed on 10-over-par.
France, Germany, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden will join them in the medal-contention matches.
2018 European Senior Men's Champion, Martin Birkholz, tied for the low score of the day. The German player fired a two-under-par round of 70 to help his team claim the fifth seed in Flight A. Spain's Alejandro Lafarga was the other player to card a round of two-under.
