16 of Europe's national-champion golf clubs travel to Bulgaria this week to take part in the European Ladies' Club Trophy.
Pravets Golf Club, hosting the event for the second time in three years, sets the stage for three days of competitive stroke play.
Each club will send a maximum of three players to contribute two scores per round to their teams' totals.
U.G.C De Pan enter the event as defending champions. In 2017, the Dutch duo of Romy Meekers and Zhen Bontan became the first team to win the event with only two players at GC Welten in Slovakia.
The pair (pictured below), who represented the Netherlands at the European Ladies' Team Championship earlier this year, will return to defend their title helped by a third player, Noa van Beek.
2018 European Ladies' Amateur Championship runner-up, Esther Henseleit, is one of the strongest players in the field this week. The German player, who finished one shot behind Celia Barquín Arozamena at Penati Golf Resort in July, will be attempting to help Hamburger Golf Club win the event for the first time since its inception in 2001.
Racing Club de France, La Boulie, lifted the trophy at Pravets Golf Club in 2016, but failed to qualify for this year's edition. Paris Country Club, who claimed the bronze medals two years ago and the silver medals last year, will be the only club to fly the flag for France this time round, hoping to go one-better and become just the second French team to lift the trophy.
Smorum Golfklub, the 2013 champions, finished in second place at Pravets in 2016, and will be hoping to take advantage of their prior experience on the course, having two of three players returning to fly the Danish flag once again.
