Sweden wins on home soil. In the final match, they proved too strong for Germany in the European Ladies´ Team Championship at Upsala Golf Club.
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - SWEDEN VS. GERMANY
In the opening foursomes match, Alexandra Fosterling and Helen Tamy Kreuzer (GER), were up on the front nine. After the turn, Maja Stark and Beatrice Wallin (SWE) played their way back and closed the match at the 15th.
Linn Grant was three holes ahead teeing up on the par-five 16th. She hit her second shot left into a greenside bunker. Her opponent, Paula Schulz-Hanssen, managed a par and that left Linn with a successful five-foot putt for the championship to ensure that the European Ladies´ Team Championship trophy stays in Sweden for one more year.

BRONZE MEDAL MATCH – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12
Denmark was too strong for Switzerland in the bronze medal match. Amalie Leth-Nissen and Smilla Tarning Søderby both won their single matches and gave Denmark a third place finish.

NORTHERN IRELAND IN 2021
At the prize giving ceremony, the venue for next year was announced. All were inspired to hear that next year’s European Ladies’ Team Championship will be played at Royal County Down in Northern Ireland.
