About
EUROPEAN MEN'S AMATEUR GOLF RANKING
As of January 1, 2005, a European Amateur Ranking has been launched.
Following the 2007 introduction of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) by the R&A, the European Ranking will be an extraction of the European players directly from the WAGR. Updates will take place weekly.
To be considered, a player must be a citizen of a European country whose national golf authority is an EGA member. All other conditions are consistent with those of the WAGR (see "WAGR General Information" link below).
A Counting Event can be a match play, stroke play or a combination event, amateur or professional. Please see WAGR Counting Events for the complete list.
Each year, EGA medal prizes will be awarded to the top three ranked players.
EUROPEAN WOMEN'S AMATEUR GOLF RANKING
Following the 2011 introduction of the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking (WWAGR) by the R&A, the European Women's Amateur Golf Ranking will be an extraction of the European players directly from the WWAGR. Updates will take place weekly.
Each player is ranked according to her points average, determined by dividing the total number of points by the number of Counting Rounds played (divisor). A minimum divisor of 28 counting rounds is imposed to balance the weighting of "one-off" performances.
To become EWAGRanked, a golfer must reach the latter stage of a match play Counting Event or finish within those places awarded points in a stroke play Counting Event.
A Counting Event can be a match play, stroke play or a combination event, amateur or professional. Please see WWAGR Counting Events for the complete list.
