The team of Golf St Germain en Laye keeps the lead after day two at Aroeira Golf Club in Portugal.
A total of 16-under par sees the three Frenchmen seven shots ahead of Scotland's Balmore Golf Club and nine shots ahead of the defending champion club Racing Club de France, going into the final round tomorrow.
St Germain player Thomas Perrot and Stan Kraai from the Dutch Eindhovensche Golf posted the lowest scores of the day, rounds of 65 (-7).
Romain Payet's consistent two-under, 70, completed Golf St Germain's nine-under total of the day. The team score is always made up of the two best scores per round. On day one, Payet also recorded 70 strokes and his teammate Thomas Faucher added a 67 (-5) to the scoreboard to put the team in the lead from the start.
Balmore's James Wilson recorded a second round 67 (-5), including a outstanding Hole-in-One on the Par 3 14th, to help his team move to second place.
The individual ranking is led by Fredric Lacroix of Racing Club de France who posted a 68 on day one and a flawless 66 today. Racing Club de France moved to third place, where as Germany's GC Hubbelrath was sent to fourth place.
The final round of the European Men's Club Trophy will start at 9.30h tomorrow morning.
