For the third time in a row, the Continent of Europe have won the Vagliano Trophy. Although the weather was challenging, they managed to beat Great Britain and Ireland 15,5 - 8,5 at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club. It was the biggest winning margin ever achieved by the Continent of Europe in the history of the event since 1959. The Continent of Europe also won the Under-16 girls’ match by 13 - 5.
Chantilly, France has been confirmed as the venue in 2013.
