2016 European Team Championships - Match play underway
The European Team Championships are played across five venues from the 5th to 9th July 2016.
Over the first two days the teams fought for the top eight spots, which move onto Flight A and will contend for the medals over the coming days. Flight B will include the teams ranked 9th to 16th and Flight C (if applicable) will consist of the remaining nations.
The Amateur (Men) teams are competing at Golf de Chantilly in France. With two great first rounds of 68, -6 in total, Frenchman Antoine Rozner could lead his team to the top of the leaderboard in the stroke play qualifying on home soil. France is playing against Sweden in the quarter-finals. Denmark is facing Norway, Italy Ireland and Scotland is competing against Spain.

The European Amateur Team Championship, Division 2 is played at Kikuoka CC in Luxembourg from 6th to 9th July 2016. The second round of stroke play qualification is played today, match play will start tomorrow.
In Iceland, the Ladies' teams faced tough conditions over the first two days with changing wind causing some lost balls inbetween the lava rocks surrounding the fairways and greens. Maria Parra Luque (ESP) could handle the conditions best and post scores of 69, 71 for a total of -4. The quarter-finals are played between Spain and Finland, Germany and Denmark, Sweden and England, and Norway and Switzerland. France, winner of the 2015 and 2014 edition of the Championship, missed out on the hattrick opportunity by 3 shots. The team suffered a big setback, when Mathilda Cappeliez had to withdraw from the Championship on Day 1. France therefore already had to concede one match to its opponent Iceland.

The Girls' teams are competing at Oslo Golf Club in Norway. Emilie Alba Paltrinieri (ITA) led her team to a top finish with superb rounds of 66 and 69, a total of -9. Italy is now facing the Czech Republic on the first match play day. The other quarter-finals are Norway vs France, Spain vs Denmark and Sweden vs England.

The European Boys' Team Championship is played at Diamond Country Club in Austria this year. Germany led the stroke play qualification with the lowest individual score (-6) signed by Max Schmitt. In the quarter-finals Germany is facing Sweden, Denmark Sweden, France the Czech Republic and Italy plays against Finland.
