A mix of results today for the two teams. Today was the final individual stroke play round with both scores counting towards the final total. Baard played very well on the front nine and was -5 through 10 holes. He dropped 3 shots over the back 9 and then finished with a birdie to shoot 67. This was the 3rd lowest score in the boys’ section. Lily shot 74 and they finished 6th as a team with a 278 total just two shots from 3rd place. Nicolas and Annabell both shot 73s and felt a little frustrated with how their rounds had unfolded. They finished 13th as a team with a 282 total.
Each of the players would like to thank the EGA, the APGC and the HKGA for the fantastic opportunity to play this week at Hong Kong Golf Club. They have experienced new challenges with the heat, humidity and grainy greens and have loved playing with Asian-Pacific players and making new friends throughout the week. I know they would have liked to have finished better but this will certainly be an experience that will stay with them on their journeys in golf.
